Housing Services and Supports
In addition to our three advice centres in Cork, Dublin and Galway, Threshold operates the following additional projects:
Tenancy Protection Service
This service is aimed at individuals, couples and families living in private rented accommodation who are experiencing housing problems and are at risk of homelessness. It is currently available in a number of locations throughout the country-Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Wicklow, Cork City and its immediate surrounding areas, Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. Through the advice and support of the Tenancy Protection Service, Threshold aims to keep clients in their home and prevent them from having to access homeless services.
Access Housing Unit, Cork
The Access Housing Unit provides advice to and proactively works with individuals and families whose tenancies are at risk to maintain these tenancies and prevent people from becoming homeless. We work to empower and assist people 'out of home' to access accommodation in the private rented sector through pre and post tenancy support. The Access Housing Unit also works to facilitate a partnership approach to service delivery to ensure a wraparound service is provided for all service users.
