Tenancy Protection Service

The Tenancy Protection Service began in Dublin in June 2014 before being extended to Cork City and its environs in 2015 and most recently to Dublin's Commuter counties of Kildare, Meath and Wicklow and also Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.

The Tenancy Protection Service provides advice and support to individuals, couples and families living in private rented accommodation experiencing tenancy problems and where your tenancy is at risk.

The Tenancy Protection Service seeks to protect existing tenancies, keeping you in your home and preventing you from having to access  homeless services.

The Tenancy Protection Service can apply for an enhanced rent supplement payment above existing rent caps where you in receipt of rent supplement and are at risk of homelessness due to a rent increase. This currently applies to the following areas: Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Wicklow, Cork City and its environs, Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.
