A landlord must at least provide you with a rent book, which you keep. Rent books can be bought from Threshold. All payments should be recorded in your rent book or by receipt if you have a lease.

Lease agreements must comply with the Residential Tenancies Act 2004. If you are offered a written lease agreement or contract read it carefully and make sure you are happy with all the terms.
