section 4 title: notice
go to previous page go to next page

A landlord must give you written notice if they want you to leave your home. The amount of notice depends on how long you have been living there. The minimum period of notice is 28 days, although there is an exception for anti social behaviour. If you have been living in the property for more than 6 months then your landlord must give you a valid reason.

If you wish to leave, you must give written notice. The amount of notice depends on how long you have been living there. A lease normally cannot be ended unless the lease conditions have been broken, there is a clause allowing notice to be given or you and the landlord both agree to end it.

Contact Threshold if you have received notice or wish to leave.
