A tenant in the shadow of fear

When Sean* first called into the office I think it’s safe to say neither of us expected to be still discussing his tenancy issues some 23 months later.  From what started out as a straightforward rent review query ended with a notice of termination being challenged at the RTB. Several days have lapsed since Budget 2020 and within that time the number of children accessing emergency accommodation continues to grow. 1 in 3 of all our homeless are now vulnerable children, with no place to call home, no place to play, celebrate a birthday or even Halloween.
