Threshold’s Promise to our Supporters

22 November 2017

AideenHaydenTHRESHOLD Aideen Hayden, Threshold Chairperson

Honest. Effective. Transparent.

I am truly grateful to all of Threshold’s supporters. Every time you make a much-needed gift to Threshold, you place your trust in us to be honest, effective and transparent. That’s a trust we must constantly earn and value.

And as Chairperson of Threshold, my promise to our supporters is that:

Your donation will be put to work on the frontline.  I can guarantee that your donations are invested into providing all of our vital frontline services, which directly prevent people and families from falling into homelessness.  In addition, we campaign to influence government policy and make the private rented sector a secure place to create a home.

We run a lean organisation.  Threshold is a lean organisation, with high levels of transparency and accountability.  Out of our annual income, our support and governance costs are just 9 per cent.  These costs play a crucial role in providing the support to deliver all of our home-saving services.

Threshold accounts are available and accessible.  You can find our most recent annual accounts here.  In our 2016 audited accounts, we received an income of €1.6 million in statutory grants, while €620,571 was raised through donations from the generosity of our supporters.

We will be responsive.  We will keep you informed about the life-changing work that your wonderful donations make possible.  And if you’ve any questions or feedback, please call us on 1890 43 44 45 or email fundraising@threshold.ie.

Your gift fights homelessness.  I can promise you that we will never forget that people and families who are homeless and those on the brink of homelessness are our number one priority.

Thank you so much again for your support.  If you should have any questions about Threshold’s work, or want to share your thoughts, you can contact me at 087 2311921.

Threshold is signed up to the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising. Find out more here.
